The study was described by "Efficacy and patient satisfaction of low-intensity shockwave treatment for erectile dysfunction in a retrospective real-world study in Japan: published in the International Journal of Urology, December 2022.

ED1000 (focused waves) group of patients received 12 sessions over 9 weeks and Renova (linear waves) group received 4 sessions over 4 weeks. High efficacy was generally comparable in both groups (Renova showing a slightly higher improvement rate).

Professor Tsujimura's conclusion, "fewer treatment sessions by Renova would be a great advantage for patients."
